CONCEPT

The pandemic is having a significant impact on retail and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG). To reduce the risk of infection, consumers have been forced to shop differently. Thus, e-commerce has boomed, bringing out a huge surge in demand for logistics services. According to the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, consumers’ online shopping through electronic platforms continues to develop because of the pandemic. In 2020, online retail sales of physical goods accounted for 19% of total retail sales of consumer goods. On the other hand, the express delivery packaging waste also imposes a burden on the environment. According to statistics, there are more than 200 million tons of packaging waste in China each year, of which nearly 40% are difficult to recycle. It’s also a challenge to both small and large cities’ waste disposal areas. Therefore, through the new reusable packaging and a new type of logistic system to promote sustainable e-commerce.

根據聯合國貿易和發展會議的一項報告,由於新冠疫情,消費者由電子平台進行在線購物的趨勢持續發展。在2020年,實物商品網上零售額占社會消費品零售總額比重為19%。另外一方面,快遞所產生的包裝垃圾也給環境帶來嚴重的負擔。中國大陸每年的包裝垃圾據統計超過2億噸,其中將近四成難以回收,對城市及鄉鎮的垃圾處理體系造成非常大的負擔。因此透過回收包裝再利用和物流創新方式,促進永續電子購物。
