Presidential Gift 剪紙肖像元首贈禮
CONCEPT
Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Taiwan and Tuvalu in 1979, the two countries have advanced hand in hand on the foundations of democracy, sustainability, and friendship, building a bond that has grown ever stronger over time. This national gift paper-cut artwork symbolizes the deep friendship and cultural connection between the two nations. The piece features the portraits of Prime Minister Hon. Feleti Teo and Madam Tausaga Teo, harmoniously blending traditional Tuvaluan motifs such as the fan, coconut trees, and ocean imagery, reflecting the natural beauty and island spirit of Tuvalu.
自1979年臺灣與吐瓦魯締結邦交以來，兩國在民主、永續與友誼的基礎上攜手前行，情誼歷久彌堅。此次特別呈獻之國禮剪紙作品，象徵兩國深厚的情誼與文化連結。作品以吐瓦魯總理戴斐立閣下與夫人戴陶莎嘉女士為主題，融匯傳統扇形、椰樹與海洋意象，展現吐瓦魯的自然之美與島嶼精神。整體以海洋藍為主色，寓意清澈、永續與希望，也象徵臺灣與南太平洋友邦間如大海般深遠、堅定的友誼。
