CONCEPT
Ancient and Modern Wonderland
Paper-cutting is an ancient folk art, also known as carving flowers or paper-cutting. Due to the easy availability of materials, adaptable tools, and accessibility, it has gradually become deeply rooted in folk culture over time, showcasing a creativity full of vitality. As a practical folk art, paper-cutting serves as a means of bringing good fortune, dispelling calamities, and providing spiritual protection. It adorns spaces, imparts aesthetic education, and enriches people’s lives with its sense of delight.
“Ancient and Modern Wonderland” is designed within the window frames of the main building, incorporating corner designs and circular patterns. It blends the beauty of traditional paper-cutting styles with modern visual language, conveying auspicious meanings and offering blessings for the successful and complete exhibition of all artists and works during the 2019 Original Base Festival.
古今幻場
剪紙是一門古老的民間藝術，又稱作刻花、剪畫。由於材料、工具變通和取得都很容易，在時光長流中逐漸深入民間，呈現充滿生活感的創造力。作為一種實用的民間藝術，納吉招福、祛災驅毒，提供人們心靈上的保護；貼花裝點、審美教化，豐富人們的生活上的情趣。『古今幻場』在主體建築窗框中設計，結合角花、團花，融合傳統剪紙式樣與現代視覺語彙之美，並藉吉祥寓意祝福2019年原創基地節所有藝術家與作品展出順利圓滿。
