Key Visual Design
CONCEPT
This project is led by Professor Meng-Ting Tsai as the project director, and Professor Yan-Ting Chen is responsible for the main visual design. Chiayi possesses abundant forest resources, with wooden structures adorning its streets and alleys, making it the largest wooden city in Taiwan. Trees in the forests sequester a significant amount of carbon. When these trees are used to construct wooden buildings, the storage of carbon is extended, thus making Chiayi Wood City a vast carbon storage forest. The urban landscape composed of wooden forests nurtures the unique charm of the Forest Glory that belongs to the people of Chiayi.
本專案由蔡孟廷教授擔任計畫主持人，陳彥廷教授擔任主視覺設計，嘉義擁有豐富的森林資源，大街小巷中遍藏木建築，是全台最大的木造城市。森林的樹中固定了大量的碳，將樹當作木材蓋成木建築，則碳儲存的時間就會變得更長，所以嘉義木都就是一個儲碳的巨大森林。由木造森林構成的城市風景，孕育著屬於嘉義人的森林之嘉。
