CONCEPT
The International Craft and Design Exhibition of 2011 brought together remarkable works from seven different countries. The main visual design utilized the watermarked technique of ink painting, symbolizing the innovative fusion of artists from various nations showcased collectively. Participating in this exhibition were artists from Japan, South Korea, France, the United States, Thailand, Denmark, and Taiwan. The boundaries between nations were no longer barriers but rather platforms for sharing diverse artistic styles and features, showcasing a new trend of cross-border collaboration and symbiosis. This exhibition highlighted the pivotal role of the Taiwan Craft Research and Development Center, which played a cohesive role in amalgamating diverse designs, craft expressions, and multicultural elements, reinterpreting the connection between traditional craftsmanship and fashion, and weaving them together across time and space. Through this exhibition, we can witness the diversity of craftsmanship while making Taipei a vital hub connecting craftsmanship with the global community.
